Yes, we’ve had a LOT of hiatuses due to conflicting scheduling especially Tracey, what with her going to college soon.

I’m not sure if it’ll be picked back up, and if so, when, but I’m really flattered that you guys are still interested, so thank you so much! I hope to have some updates for you soon on what the future of this is. (:

We are! There a few chapters written in fact that are simply in need of completed illustrations. We intend to get more on it come summer time though, so don’t check too diligently!

She’s John’s older sister, the Princess of Prospit, naturally.

It’s funny that you ask that, Jane is actually one of the most important characters in Dirk and Jake’s story.

Yeah it’d make sense if he was from the other kingdom, wouldn’t it? In the AU, the kingdoms have no association with the kids’ alignments, other than John being the prince of Prospit, and Dirk being the prince of Derse. (Spoilers: Rose and Roxy live in Prospit, and Jade is also from Derse in relation to Jake.)

We decided to mix the alignments because of the character’s titles. Jake, being a page, would require a knight. Dave, being a knight, fulfills that requirement. And since Dave is the prince of Derse’s brother (and also a prince himself, in that case,) Jake is from Derse by association. 

I guess we could’ve made Jake a page from Prospit, but that would’ve changed the plot around a lot! The kingdom alignments are sort of important for what we have planned!
